Origami and Dervishes
In 2011, Origami and Dervishes, a sister series of two video shorts, were shot over a week long residency at filmmaker RJ Muna’s San Francisco Left Space Studios. A thoughtful dialogue between dance and camera, the film couplet explores twinning and the nuances of femininity within the stark boundaries of architectural space. Constructed in collaboration with Jaime Verazin, Sam Chase, Christopher Nash, RJ Muna and Josh Hinderman.
The sensually meditative premiered at the LACMA as part of the 2012 Dance Camera West Film Festival.
