Katherine Helen Fisher is a producer, director, performer and choreographer.
Her media works have been screened at Art Basil Switzerland,The Los Angles County Museum of Art,The San Francisco Dance Film Festival, and Dance Films Association’s Big Screen Series.
Her choreography for the stage has been presented by Joe’s Pub, The Brooklyn Museum of Art, Judson Church and Danspace Project and at several off Broadway venues.
Her choreographic work for television was featured by Catapult Entertainment on Season 8 of NBC’s America’s Got Talent.
Kate has had the pleasure of performing the work of Lucinda Childs, Mark Morris, MOMIX, ODC San Francisco, Jennifer Muller/ The Works, Mark Dendy, Johannes Wieland and PEARSONWIDRIG Dance Theater and appeared in the seminal Philip Glass Opera, Einstein On The Beach, directed by Robert Wilson.
This season she is directing a multi-media opera at The Baltimore School for The Arts based off of The Codex of Seraphinianus with composer Marcos Balter as well as touring in Available Light, the remount of Frank Gehry, John Adams and Lucinda Childs’ seminal 1983 collaboration.
Kate is a creative director with Safety Third Productions crafting innovative digital media content for stage and screen. She holds a BFA from New York University’s Tisch School of The Arts.
